Baking, sewing, flowers, netball, shopping and Furby.
A rollercoaster week. I started out cruising down the hills then struggled with a mid week climb. Bumped along for a couple of days and then cruised back home at the end.
Fabulous Moments
I had this pretty passenger on board this week.
I have always involved the kids with one of my loves, cooking.
Miss 8 has been my right hand girl for a couple of years now and has a few meals and biscuit recipes almost mastered.
This week Master 6 decided to find a scone recipe and asked me to help him make it .
I was over the moon spending one on one kitchen time with him. They were delicious by the way and eaten too fast for me to even get a photo.
Netball has finally made its way back into my life.
I was an avid player, coach and umpire back in the day, I just love the game.
This week Phoenix started in her first team and she loves it.
I wonder how long I will remain on the side lines before I don my skirt and find a senior team with a spot.
I just love the expressions in this photo.
My awesome sister, Deb,taking the soon to be Miss 9, on a special Aunty Birthday shopping trip.
How happy do they both look?
Look what they came home with.
Fabulous Links I Love
This week I spent a lot of time catching up with my online reading and I would love to share some of the interesting, exciting and fun links I found.
A gorgeous read and stunning photos to celebrate the awakenings of Spring or prepare for the glory of Autumn.
To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under the heavens.
I enjoyed a breakfast catch up for a very dear friends birthday this week. One of the girls leaned over and asked me how I find the time to write my blog.
I felt this incredible surge of excitiement as a grin spread across my face….she reads it was all I could think.
This explains it all I Don’t Read your Blog.
Ready for some deep thinking, check this out The Myth of Enough.
I love this and I am making one.
A Guest Room Cart. Oops I don’t have a guest room.
Are you renovating, thinking of renovating, love watching renovating shows?
Check out The Nester. I love her belief that a home does not have to be perfect to be beautiful.
Costume Making Fabulous Fun
Today I got to play with a group of very talented ladies. They were working on costumes for the upcoming school production, Aladdin.
I do so love to be around all things creative and was very eager to help in any way I could.
How colourful are these fabrics?
This is the elastic, WOW.
You can see the talented ladies working away in the background while I play with my camera.
This is the powerhouse
This was my special job…..ironing the seams ready for them to sew.
I was very precise.
It couldn’t be all work and no play.
I hope you find something here to inspire you to take a moment to enjoy a moment or many as you notice some of the unexpected bliss surrounding you this week.
Have a fabulous week.

Found your blog when I read “I Don’t Read Your Blog” Love the pics you posted and it looks like the last one is champagne, and I’m a huge fan of that 😉
As a mother of THREE boys, it’s nice to see your son enjoys baking with you. Perhaps there is hope for me 😉
Hi Rachel yes there is hope, get the boys in there baking, making home made pizzas. Such an amazing way to connect with the kids and provide them with awesome skills for the future. So absolutely thrilled you stopped by.
