Every Winter ,since both children became steady on their own 2 feet, we have had bold plans to take them to the snow. Nothing fancy, no skiing, a simple day of sightseeing and maybe some tobogganing.
It is not the travel that holds me back, we are only a two and a half hour drive to some fantastic mountains. It is the STUFF we need to take that has overwhelmed me. The boots, the jackets, the gloves and the pants. The changes of clothes and the snacks.
It always became a case of maybe next year.
Well I am so damn proud to say WE DID IT!!!!!
The kids, Roy, some friends and I spent a magical day at Mt Baw Baw and it was worth every organisational moment.
In fact it wasn’t that difficult. The kids surprised me with how much discomfort they now tolerate. Wet hands, wet feet, snow up their jacket as they roll down a hill.
All no big deal, they were having TOO MUCH FUN TO CARE.
Enjoy some fabulous pictures.
We made it, how stunning are the gum trees behind me.
Loving my new fancy boots, I managed to keep them white despite some muddy snow around.
My little snow bunny
Talan just wanted to make a snowman
He was tireless in his efforts
He did have some helpers
We all had lots of fun
We even tried to take Talan’s snowball home.
Have you been considering one of those special big family days out. You know the ones that need that extra bit of organisational muscle.
Go go go for it, the experience and the memories are worth it.
Have a fabulous week, I plan to.

Sounds like you all had a fantastic time making more special memories.
An amazing time Mum, and well worth the organising
