You wake feeling blah.
You lie there and think of the day ahead.
The schedule is full and there is not much in it for you.
There is washing piling up, and you have a shift at work.
You cannot remember the last time you went for a walk, let alone made it to the gym.
You have had a few lateish nights and unfriendly early mornings.
You are always busy and yet there is a monotony to your daily routine.
You are understandably feeling a whole lot less than Fabulous
You shower and cannot remember if you conditioned your hair.
You grab your comfy, and not so hot looking pants, because who cares anyways.
You add a slouchie top and pull your hair back into a pigtail.
A flick of mascara and you toss a lip gloss in your bag, because who has time for make up?
You wrangle the kids off to school and down a coffee.
You set about ticking off the day’s list.
In the car, out the car, here there and everywhere….it all has to be done.
You slump on the couch mid afternoon, realise you missed lunch and quickly scoff a few biccies before picking up the kids.
You love seeing their happy faces and perk up momentarily, before losing your smile to the overwhelm of homework, activities and the rush to cook dinner.
And on it goes….
Eventually you collapse into bed.
Relieved you survived the day.
What if you could rewind and start the day over?
What if it was more like this?
You wake feeling blah……you pause……lie still…….embrace the quiet…..you don’t move yet?
You whisper “How do I want to feel today?”
You hear that gentle wise voice answer…..Glamorous, Healthy, Nourished, Happy, Connected, FABULOUS
You decide to make it happen and it looks something like this.
You want to dress comfortably and feel glamorous. You put on your sexy, lacy knickers under your comfy pants and all day you feel that secret tickle of glamour.
You choose a pretty scarf, that is both comforting and adds a stylish feel to your look.
You pull your hair back and add a colourful pair of earrings, they really look great when your hair is tied up.
You plan to drink lots of fresh filtered water, and avoid too much tea and coffee, knowing this leaves you feeling much brighter after a late night.
Lunch is a struggle when you are busy and you want to feel nourished by healthy food. You pack a salad to take to work and enjoy.
You love a funny movie, and an early night on the couch enjoying a big belly laugh is like medicine.
You download a comedy and message hubby to book in a happiness date on the sofa……no work tonight you tell him, you want to feel connected. You even grab a box of those decadent chocolates to share while you cuddle.
The day ends and you are indeed feeling more fabulous.
You slip into bed feeling grateful and happy.
You even think about getting up earlier tomorrow to go for that walk.
The next time you are feeling blah. Feeling less than your amazing self.
Take a precious moment to pause.
Then ask yourself how you do want to feel and what truly matters to you.
Then make it happen.
This is YOUR one great Life and YOU do have the power to lead it fabulously.
