How astonishingly clever is nature?

October 7, 2013 By Karen Main 5 Comments

I love, adore and respect nature.

I also take its splendour for granted.

Today I am in awe.

Today I shared in the sweet, sweet bliss created by a hard-working hive of bees.

Bees

It all started with this hive in the tree outside my home.

Apiarist

Then it all got too big and we called in the experts.
I am hiding inside by the way.
See that big square lump on the sheet?  It is the hive.

Leftover bees

Here is a little piece of their hive left on the grass.

Lonely beeA lonely bee who was left behind.

Upside down bee

Sadly he won’t survive without his Queen.

Honeycomb 2

Some of the rich honeycomb I have saved.

Honeycomb

It is incredible how perfect each and every hole is.

Plate of Honeycomb

I left some on a plate and the rich, decadent honey oozed out.
The luscious, sweetness pure bliss.

Smoothie

Then I made us all a banana and honey smoothie.

Pure, sweet, natural bliss delivered straight to my door.

Mother nature I applaud you.

What do you love most about nature?

Wow great pictures, what an amazing home they created. How lucky were you to be able to take their liquid gold straight from that incredible honeycomb .. I love nature too.
