I’ve found myself in an unsettled holding pattern this Christmas.
Only three weeks after our big move to sunny Queensland we’ve returned to Melbourne with celebrations to share, school eras to complete and a final surgery for our daughter.
I wasn’t ready to leave our new home so soon and I’m looking forward to going back.
All the packing, unpacking and repacking have become a way of life (for now) and it has me feeling dishevelled, instead of festive.
And my Christmas shopping? Well that’s been left until the last minute.
Which means I’ve been wandering the shops every day for the past week, on a mission for those ‘just right’ gifts.
But if I’m honest I don’t have the gifts I truly want to give. What I really want to give can’t be bought.
And that’s because the greatest gifts of all are hopes and wishes, not things and stuff.
They’re the dreams that don’t exist in the shops. The experiences that can’t be found by Google. The hope that can’t be packaged and sold.
Imagine if you could offer the gifts of health and healing.
And have the ability to replace busyness with ease.
If you could give out more laughter and happiness.
And wrap everything in smiles and joy.
The greatest gifts of all exist as whispers in our hearts and souls…. they’re the secret wishes we make for others.
Like the wish I make for my Mum to walk without pain…. and for my daughter’s surgery to not be needed this week.
The wish for my friend to discover the natural therapy she seeks, and come off her life long medication. And for my other friend to heal quickly from her major surgery.
The wish for my clients to realise how truly amazing they are and be free of any crippling self-doubt.
The global wish for children to never get hurt or fall ill….. and for peace to be restored to the world’s war-torn regions.
The wish for health scans to come back clear and tests to reveal good health.
The wish for overwhelm to make way for ease filled days.
The wish for choices you make to support your wildest dreams.
The wish for moments you live to be savoured while you’re in them.
The wish for you to experience new things and explore possibilities.
The wish I have that YOU believe YOU deserve everything YOU want.
And that this year YOU lead that life YOU truly love.
Have a glorious Christmas everyone and please take a moment to share your greatest wishes with all those you love.
Write it in a card, send them a message or gently whisper it in their ear as you embrace.
I promise your soulful wish will be the greatest gift of all.
