I arrived early with ample time to grab a coffee.
As I strolled toward the meeting room I was a swirling body of nervous, curious and excited delight. I was about to meet my writing idol and I was also about to spend 2 days with a group of very talented people I did not know.
I was consciously high fiving myself for taking the time for my own personal growth and development when I noticed the yoga mats. I knew then, this was going to be more than a simple workshop teaching me how to write.
To be completely honest I was not crystal clear on the entire content of this workshop. The date and details appeared in my inbox many months ago and it was curiosity that drew me to it. I knew it was called Write Yourself into Motion and it was taught by Alexandra Franzen.
I have been using many of Alexandra’s generous offerings and clever writing tips since I first began my blog and I continue to be inspired by her teachings, her thoughts and the spirit in which she offers her work.
So when I saw her Melbourne workshop announced it was a deep gut feel that told me this was for me right now. I fortunately trusted my instinct, I signed up and ultimately, I made it happen.
I somehow knew Alexandra was going to deliver more than I could even imagine and expect.
I was not disappointed.
Over the past 2 days, under her guidance, I learnt things I did not even realise I was ready to learn.
I have collected wisdom, techniques and skills that will both assist me in my business and my personal life.
I have learnt how to communicate with both heart and with ease.
All while fully immersed in the deep communion of women. Each of us deeply exploring our craft, our inner wisdom and expressing our unique offering to the world through glorious writing.
Today as I sit down to my computer and begin to tap-tap with new confidence on the keyboard, I am grateful to my curiosity for leading me to this workshop and to my instinct for nudging me toward YES.
I offer a heartfelt thank you to Alexandra and all the amazing women who shared and supported my incredible journey the past two days.
I have so much to build, create and ultimately offer the world and I now have a few new tools to help make this happen.
Next time your curiosity leads you to a workshop, a class, a course, an event….take a moment and ask yourself – ‘Is this possibly just what I need right now?’ The answer you get could just be a little nudgey yes feel, the one we fondly know as intuition.
If this is the case then go for it, book in, sign up and show up.
You too may be about to learn things you did not even realise you are ready to learn.
And that my friends feels fabulous.

How wonderful Karen. I do wish I could have attended too! Wow. Perfect timing for you. Looking forward to seeing how it shapes and affects your presence here. Fun!
Kelly it was amazing and such a treat to spend time with Alex. She has a true desire to leave this world in a better way than she found it and taught us all how to discover the unique way we too can add more heart to the world. A mind blowing 2 days.
I am so happy that your curiosity led you… into the same room as me. 🙂
xoxo.
