I have never slept outside under the stars.
I have never ridden on a motorbike, not even as a passenger.
I have never been in a hot air balloon.
I have never attempted a Fun Run.
I have never eaten caviar.
I have never crocheted.
I have never been to America or Europe.
I have never been on a ship.
I have never enrolled in an art class.
I have never written a book.
Well of course this list could go on for ever to include weird, wild and wacky adventures that I have no interest in doing, for example Bungey Jumping.
This is a snippet of the things I do think about, and as yet have never done.
This has been my year for having a go, for flinging myself out there and doing things for the first time.
Yesterday I entered a photo competition, with real photographers. I had never entered an artistic competition before, I have now, I thrust my work out there and it feels amazing.
Two months ago I had never done a yoga class, now I am there every week and loving it.
There are a ridiculous amounts of foods, arts, adventures, experiences, music genres and places open and available to us that we may never have tried.
How often do you over hear a conversation and think, wow I have never done that?
It leaves me thinking how lucky and blessed we are to have so many opportunities to arouse our senses, to be stimulated.
All these experiences heightening our sense of achievement, our happiness and in turn Bliss.
When was the last time you did something for the first time? What was it? Is there something you are thinking of doing?
Leave your comment here or on Facebook, I may just add it to my list.

I love the idea of making a list of things I’d like to do for the first time. This feels different from a bucket list somehow. Perhaps more achievable?
You should definitely come to America and I should definitely go to Australia!
Mo Yes Australia is an awesome place to add to the list. America is way up high on mine, all those wine regions to try.
Karen this is so great to see your adventurous spirit growing. Every time I have done something outside my comfort zone I have been rewarded the sense of satisfaction that comes with knowing I tried. Guess what I have ridden on the back of a motorbike although can’t say I am in a hurry to repeat that experience . I am currently exploring my options though.
Knowing you have done something many people, like me, find terrifying can be exhilarating, particularly if it scared you too. Keep exploring those options they are endless.
I always feel a burst of energy and creativity every time I do something new. I need to do something new everyday – even if it’s something trivial like try a “scary vegetable for the first time!
Stacey I agree new things give us that little burst we so often need.
Stacey I never thought about it like that but you have given me more to think about.
what a great series…how inspiring. Have a great Saturday Sharefest.
Good for you for actually putting this into action! All too often we get far too comfortable with routine, such creatures of habit. Thanks for sharing, and giving the rest of us a much needed gentle nudge! 🙂
