Fabulous is one of my favourites words. I actually have it on a chain around my neck, along with Courage and Hope.
The thesaurus gives me a list of other words I can use, tremendous, stupendous, prodigious, phenomenal, remarkable, exceptional;astounding, amazing, fantastic, breathtaking, staggering, unthinkable, unimaginable, incredible, unbelievable, unheard of, untold, undreamed of, beyond one’s wildest dreams; mind-boggling,mind-blowing, jaw-dropping.
I still love Fabulous.
Today I am struggling to feel, let alone look fabulous. A few late nights and some over the top multi tasking and I am tired and weary, not fabulous. As I go about my day I will find little moments to give me a lift, I will enjoy a pot of tea instead of a cup, I will drink from my fancy mug and love that my daughter chose it, I will search the sky for rainbows when the sun shines after it rains. I will feel the best I can today with the sleep I have, or have not had.
How I am on the inside tends to want to show up on the outside too. Weary is not a good look. Today I will need to give my look a boost too.
So here it comes, my beauty tip for our less than fabulous days. (Did any of you really think I could write a blog without sharing a beauty tip?)
There are four little friends I have in my bathroom drawer for days, weeks, such as these.
1. Clarins Beauty Flash Balm – Use this on a clean face and under your foundation, it claims to brighten and tighten, energise and soothe. I can tell you it gives your skin a luminance and your makeup lasts all day.
2. Clarins Eye Revive Beauty Flash Balm – this is to go around the eyes before makeup to give the skin a lift. The claim – refreshes, tightens and brightens. It certainly refreshes and soothes.
3. Napoleon pro palette concealer – dark circles are not fabulous, this little pot has 3 colour correctors to eliminate them. This will take away that dull, dark area under your eye. I use a little on my lids as well to set an even base for my eyeshadow.
4. Murine clear eyes – sparkling blue is a lot more fabulous on me than bloodshot and teary. My eyes don’t; feel scratchy and gritty and the white area is white.
Now where is that pot of tea !!!!!
